Let us be your guide on the highest summit in the Northeast

Join us for an unforgettable adventure to the summit of Mount Washington — famous for its rugged beauty, unpredictable weather, and 360-degree views over New Hampshire’s Presidential Range.

Mount Washington stands as the crown jewel of New England hiking, rising to 6,288 feet as the highest peak in the Northeastern United States. What truly sets this mountain apart is its notoriously extreme weather—it holds the world record for highest wind speed (231 mph) recorded by a human, earning it the reputation for having “the world’s worst weather.” The mountain features a dramatic alpine zone above treeline with unique ecosystems rarely found elsewhere in the eastern United States, creating an almost otherworldly landscape for hikers to explore.

When you join one of our guided adventures on Mount Washington, you’re not just hiring someone to point the way—you’re gaining access to generations of local knowledge and expertise. Our guides intimately understand the mountain’s notorious weather patterns, which can shift from clear skies to whiteout conditions in less than an hour. We’ve navigated the summit in hurricane force winds and know exactly when to push forward and when safety demands retreat.

Many first-time visitors underestimate Mount Washington, seeing only its accessible trails and proximity to civilization. Our guides carry emergency equipment, communication devices, and most importantly, the judgment that comes from hundreds of summit trips in all conditions.

Whether you choose the classic Tuckerman Ravine Trail, the challenging Huntington Ravine scramble, or the less-traveled Boot Spur, your guide will tailor the experience to your abilities while gently pushing your boundaries. Many clients tell us that reaching the summit with our guidance transformed what would have been just a strenuous hike into a profound personal achievement.

Perhaps most valuable is the peace of mind that comes with professional guidance. Instead of constantly checking maps or second-guessing route choices, you’re free to immerse yourself fully in the experience—to feel the exhilaration of standing where the continent’s fiercest winds have howled for millennia.

Participants should be physically prepared and well equipped for a rigorous all day experience. We will meet at IMCS at 7:00 a.m. for a gear check. Please reference our GEAR LIST and let us know if you need support with any items to rent.
