Alpine snow climbing requires the use of a variety of climbing skills to negotiate snow, rock and ice terrain. Are you planning a trip to Alaska, Mt. Rainier, the Alps or South America this summer? This two-day intensive course will cover the skills of knots, friction hitches, roped travel techniques, self arrest, snow and ice anchors and extrication techniques.
This one-day course is an introduction to waterfall ice climbing and general mountaineering. It is best suited for novice winter climbers. The Mount Washington Valley is our playground for ice/rock climbing, skiing, and mountaineering. Its unique ecology allows for four seasons worth of mountain sports and skills.
