Advanced Wilderness First Aid

Take your wilderness medical training to the next level with our 2-Day Bridge Course, designed specifically for individuals who have already completed a Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course. This accelerated program expands your assessment and treatment skills for remote and challenging environments.

Led by experienced instructors, the course includes hands-on scenarios, practical skills sessions, and updated medical protocols for prolonged care in wilderness settings. Whether you’re a backcountry guide, outdoor educator, or avid adventurer, this training will prepare you for the unexpected.

Course Curriculum:
– Builds upon existing WFA skills to meet WAFA certification standards
– Emphasis on patient assessment, evacuation decision-making, and extended care
– Practical simulations and scenario-based learning
– Meets industry standards for professional outdoor leaders

Course Highlights:

The course provides critical medical skills for situations where professional help is hours or days away. Participants learn to assess and treat injuries and illnesses in remote settings with limited resources. Students practice through scenarios in challenging outdoor environments, building confidence to handle emergencies far from medical facilities. The training emphasizes decision-making frameworks for when to treat in place versus when evacuation is necessary. Certification meets requirements for outdoor professionals and expedition leaders.
